Queen Alia International Airport (IATA: AMM / ICAO: OJAI) serves as the principal gateway to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and is located approximately 35 kilometers south of the capital city, Amman. As an international hub, it plays a crucial role in connecting Jordan with destinations across the globe. Officially inaugurated in 1983, the airport was named in honor of Queen Alia Al-Hussein, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan.
