Lynden Pindling Int'l (Nassau) airport (NAS)

Lynden Pindling International Airport (IATA: NAS / ICAO: MYNN) is the gateway to the tropical paradise of Nassau, the capital city of the Bahamas. As the largest airport in the country, it serves as the principal international hub for travelers entering and leaving the archipelago. Situated just 16 kilometers west of downtown Nassau, the airport offers convenient access to the vibrant cultural and economic heart of the Bahamas.

Established in 1942 as an allied military base, the airport was later converted for civilian use and renamed in honor of Sir Lynden Pindling, the first Prime Minister of the Bahamas, in 2006. Today, Lynden Pindling International stands as a crucial air travel center in the Caribbean.

The airport handles approximately 3.5 million passengers annually, comprising both international and domestic travelers. With over 30 different airlines operating through its terminals, NAS provides direct routes to major North American and European cities, along with numerous intra-Caribbean destinations.

Its modern facilities include three terminals: one for international flights, one for domestic services, and a third exclusively for US pre-clearance, streamlining the process for passengers traveling to the United States. Given its strategic location and comprehensive services, NAS plays a significant role in boosting tourism and commerce in the Bahamas.
