Alcantarí Airport (IATA: SRE, ICAO: SLAL) serves as the primary gateway to Sucre, the constitutional capital of Bolivia. Situated roughly 30 kilometers from the city in the town of Alcantarí, this airport replaced the older Juana Azurduy de Padilla International Airport due to its more suitable location and capacity to handle modern aviation demands. Since its inauguration in 2016, Alcantarí Airport has been categorized as a domestic airport, though it also handles some international flights, fitting well into Bolivia's expanding infrastructure plans.
